Jon Belmonte, 45, has served as Principal of Cedar Ridge Ventures, a private investment firm, since January 2012. He previously served as the Company’s Chief Media Officer from February 2011 until December 2011 and as the Company’s Chief Operating Officer from April 2000 to February 2011. From April 1999 until April 2000, Mr. Belmonte was a co-founder and vice president of strategy and business development of LeagueLink, a web-based service for administering recreational sports leagues. The Company acquired LeagueLink in April 2000.Prior to joining LeagueLink, Mr. Belmonte worked as a strategy consultant for Boston Consulting Group, a global management consulting company. Mr. Belmonte serves on the board of directors of two private companies. Mr. Belmonte earned a B.S.E. from University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business and an M.B.A. from Northwestern University, Kellogg School of Management.
Stephen L. Green has served on our Board of Directors since November 2001 and is the Chairman of our Audit Committee. Since 1991, Mr. Green has been a partner with Canaan Partners, a venture capital firm, where he has invested in technology companies. From October 1985 until November 1991, Mr. Green served as managing director of General Electric Capital’s Corporate Finance Group. Mr. Green also serves on the board of directors and audit and compensation committees of Dean Foods Company, a leading food and beverage company; the board of directors and audit committee of Caris Life Sciences, a provider of diagnostic, translational development and pharmaceutical services; the board of directors and audit and compensation committees of Bidding4Good.com, Inc., an online auction fundraising platform; and the board of directors and audit committee of Verance Corporation, a media technology developer, all of which are privately held. Mr. Green also served as chairman of the audit committee at Advance PCS from 1993 to 2005. Mr. Green earned a B.A. in English from Amherst College. In addition, Mr. Green held a variety of financial roles over a 12-year period at General Electric, including a five year term as corporate auditor. We believe Mr. Green is qualified to serve on our Board of Directors due to his broad background in analyzing and financing companies involved in manufacturing, retail, radio, television, cable broadcasting and financial services during his 25-year career in private equity.
Thomas N. Clancy has served on our Board of Directors since November 2002. Mr. Clancy has been a managing member at TAO Venture Capital Partners, a venture capital fund focused on early stage investments, since October 2005. From January 1998 to September 2005, Mr. Clancy served as managing director of Enterprise Partners Venture Capital, leading its Internet, consumer, and software investment practices. Prior to joining Enterprise Partners Venture Capital, Mr. Clancy was a partner at TRC, Inc., a software consulting company, the chief executive officer of Expersoft, a developer of Internet Infrastructure software, and Vice President of Technology Development for Transaction Technology, Inc., a subsidiary of Citicorp. Mr. Clancy serves on the board of a number of private companies, is a board member and past president of the San Diego Venture Group and previously served as a director of Stamps.com (STMP). Mr. Clancy earned a B.S. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. We believe Mr. Clancy is qualified to serve on our Board of Directors due to his more than 30 years of experience as an executive and an investor in software and services companies.
Bruns H. Grayson has served on our Board of Directors since May 2009. Mr. Grayson is a managing partner at ABS Ventures, a venture capital firm, where he has managed all of the firm’s venture capital partnerships since 1983. Mr. Grayson began his career as a venture capitalist in 1981 at Adler & Co., a New York venture firm. Prior to that time, he was an associate at McKinsey and Co., a management consulting firm. Mr. Grayson earned a B.A. from Harvard University, an M.A. from Oxford University, and a J.D. from The University of Virginia Law School. We believe Mr. Grayson is qualified to serve on our Board of Directors due to his 30 years of experience, his many investments in early stage high technology businesses and his services as a director in many private and public companies.
Joey Levin currently serves as the CEO of Mindspark Interactive Network, a division of IAC comprised of brands such as Webfetti, Zwinky, MyFunCards, IWon, and Daily Burn, among others. Prior to his appointment at Mindspark in November 2009, Mr. Levin served as Senior Vice President, Mergers & Acquisitions and Finance for IAC. Since joining IAC in 2003, Mr. Levin has worked on a number of transactions for IAC including the acquisitions of ServiceMagic and People Media, and the spin-offs of Ticketmaster, Interval Leisure Group, HSN, and LendingTree, completed in 2008. Prior to joining IAC, Mr. Levin worked in the Technology Mergers & Acquisitions group for Credit Suisse First Boston (now Credit Suisse) in San Francisco advising public and private technology and e-commerce companies on a variety of transactions. Joey also serves on the board of Tree.com (NASDAQ: TREE) and Reply.com. He graduated from the Jerome Fisher Program in Management & Technology from the University of Pennsylvania, with a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School and a B.A.S. in Engineering from the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences.
Dave Alberga, joined ACTIVE’s Board of Directors in September 2012, after serving as ACTIVE’s chief executive officer for close to 13 years. As chief executive officer, Alberga oversaw the executive management team and lead the general managers in new business development. ACTIVE employees describe the former chief executive officer as a motivational leader and a strategic thinker and decision maker.
Prior to the ACTIVE Network, Alberga headed operations for Ticketmaster Online-CitySearch Inc., a leading portal and transaction company and now an operating business of IAC/InterActiveCorp (NASDAQ: IACI). In his three years at Ticketmaster Online-CitySearch, his initial role as general manager of established markets of CitySearch City Guides was expanded to executive vice president and then, chief operating officer. Ticketmaster career highlights include successfully leading local management teams in 35 markets, while overseeing operating and reporting procedures for each field organization, and participating in raising private and public equity for CitySearch. Additional experience includes senior management positions with Linear Technology Corporation, Silicon Valley Technology (SVT) and consulting and brand management at the Boston Consulting Group and Procter & Gamble Company. Alberga is also a board member of Running USA, a national non-profit trade organization dedicated to improving the status of road racing and long distance running in the United States.
Alberga holds a Master of Business Administration degree and a master’s degree in arts from Stanford University. He earned a bachelor’s degree in general engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
